This March 26th, the Kurilpa Poets are proud to present as our Feature Poet of the Month,
non-other than award winning Indigenous Poet
and professional Raconteur,
Mr Samuel Wagan Watson!
His Poetry combines a keen eye
with a wit so dry it makes you cry.
Over the knuckles of his right hand
is tattooed the word,
The knuckles of his left hand bear the letters,
Yes, beneath the street wise veneer of Sam’s poems there beats a fiercly Indignant Heart,
that will lead you, like a drunken shaman, on an emotional and archetypal journey thru the Modern day Landscape of the 21st Century. Join this Cosmopolitan Nomad
as he ad-libs Song lines on the run,
and also tries to have his little bit of Fun,
this SUNDAY 26th March 2pm
91 Cordelia Street
beneath the trees of Sacred Musgrave Park.
Copies of Sam’s latest slim volume of verse,
“Monsters Ink” will be available at the door.
