Claire Fitzpatrick

Claire Fitzpatrick

Claire Fitzpatrick lost a leg in the Vietnam War. Just kidding – she found one. Since then, she’s become fascinated in human anatomy and wartime.

 Her poetry is a mixture of horror, obsessive love, stalkers, life, death, and war! Her novel Vinyl, about nurses and political protesters in Australia

during the Vietnam War was recently accepted for publication.

 She’s also had short horror and dark comedic stories published in anthologies.

Claire has been a feature poet at Poetry Open Words in Brisbane and recently Poets Corner in Maroochydore. She’s also performed a theatrical poetry performance at Velvet Helmet including a bloody scroll she unravelled from her underwear.

Samples of Claires work and more on her activities can be found at;
