Kurilpa Hall to host Cup!

Boundary Street Beware!

With the much anticipated 2015 Kurilpa Performance Poetry Cup

only weeks away, the Kurilpa Poets were stunned to learn that

their beloved Olde Croquet Club in the heart of Musgrave Park,

would be unavailable for the first few months of 2015,

as it would be undergoing extensive renovations.

Yes our dank lowly hovel will be soon upgraded

to the status of a swish Dive!

I kid, but significant improvements are being added to the building,

including a fabulous verandha on which to view the setting sun

and a wheechair ramp for the mobility impaired.

If the hideous grey carpet is replaced

surely our Cup will runneth over!

In the meantime we have been scampering around

looking for a suitable venue in which to start the year

and have returned to an old haunt,

that familiar West End Institution, the Kurilpa Hall

on Boundary Street next to the Kurilpa Library.

The larger Kurilpa Hall has a proper stage and good acoustics

so perhaps it’s a blessing in disguise that the Cup

will be held in this Iconic location.

So write these details in your diaries/calenders and electronic organisers;
